David Babcock graduated from Flagstaff's Coconino High School in May 1978. He then attended one semester of general studies at Northern Arizona University which was then followed by his entry into technical training with the U.S. Air Force. As a Systems Analyst, a job requiring an A-1 top secret security clearance, he was stationed at numerous bases, including Misawa Japan and Fort Meade, Maryland. Prior to entering the service David worked at Pepsi Bottling Company where he was involved in all aspects of the beverage industry. This included production, sales, and vending repair. David has been employed with Flagstaff Design since November 1983. He has advanced from the Ironworker apprentice program through Journeyman training at Butler Manufacturing in Kansas City. He has also successfully completed supervisory training from the Keye Productivity Center along with attendance in various management seminars. He has worked on numerous projects and supervised to completion twenty Butler buildings, all to customer satisfaction, including over three hundred thousand square feet of metal roofing systems. He has completed numerous multi-million dollar projects, including the Del Rio Elementary School in Chino Valley, a renovation of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Dormitory in Winslow, a new Guidance Center in Flagstaff, an upgrade of storage igloos at Camp Navajo in Bellemont, reroofing of elementary schools and one middle school in Cottonwood, a gymnasium for the Winslow Unified School District, and renovation of the Performing and Fine Arts building at Northern Arizona University. Recently Dave has served as Project Manager on the White Mountain Apache Housing Authority Office and Maintenance Buildings, the Joseph City Unified School District Deficiency Corrections at two campuses, remodel of the Grand Canyon Trust, HVAC/Electrical Upgrades at Flagstaff High School, Killup & Weitzel Elementary Schools, the Community Behavioral Health Building in Page, and the Pinon High School Auditorium and Gymnasium Project. As Vice President of Operations, he oversees all projects as well as serving as Project Manager for many projects. |
